Big Plans for a New Equestrian Center

The equestrian program has exciting news to share!

Goucher’s Gophers have plans for a much-anticipated facelift and restructuring of the Equestrian center.  Greg Permison, director for annual and affinity giving, and Geoff Miller, athletics director, unveiled the much-anticipated drawings of the new facility to the community at the Inaugural Alumni Equestrian Cup this spring.

The plans promise a wide scope of updates to the original facility. Just a few of the updates include a brand new barn, extension of the indoor and outdoor facilities, and restructuring of the paddocks and surrounding landscape. Because of Dr. Suzanne Knoebel ’48’s generous bequest, the college and the Athletic Department, in cooperation with the Office of Advancement, have agreed to pursue these renovations effective immediately and will launch an Equestrian Center Campaign in the coming weeks.

If you would like to see the plans for yourself, visit www.goucher.edu/equestriancenter or please email Greg Permison at greg.permison@goucher.edu for more information.
