Goucher Wins IHSA Zone IV Championships!
Goucher traveled to Hollins University this past weekend for the Zone IV Championships. Goucher finished the day as Zone IV Champions, securing a spot at the IHSA National Championships in May.
Individual highlights included:
Joey Fink - Zone IV Reserve Champion Open Flat, Zone IV Reserve Champion Open Fences
Moriah Patashnik - Zone IV Champion Novice fences
Ashley Bent - 3rd place Intermediate fences
Laura Malone - 5th place Novice fences
Kaduk Sherpa - 5th place Advanced Walk Trot Canter
Team highlights included:
Joey Fink - 2nd place Open flat, 2nd place Open fences
Alison Radgowski - 2nd place Intermediate flat, 1st place Intermediate fences
Anna Carmichael - 1st place Novice flat, 1st place Novice fences
Sarah Lummis - 4th place Advanced Walk Trot Canter
Kaili Janette - 2nd place Walk Trot
The team will travel to the IHSA National Championships in Harrisburg, PA from May 1-4, to compete with the top two schools from each of the 8 IHSA Zones in the United States. Junior Joey Fink will also compete in the prestigious Cacchione Cup, against the Champion Open riders from each Region in the country.

I hope Goucher appreciates all the hard work that went into your success....it is never a given to win at Zones. It is like climbing a mountain and hope you don't fall. Go Goucher Gophers!!!!
