The Goucher Equestrian team won the first IHSA National Service Award at IHSA Nationals in Raleigh this year, for the annual Healing Hooves Fundraiser.
The fun fair, held at the stables, celebrates therapeutic riding centers in Maryland, and included a performance by the Goucher Drill Team, demonstrations by athletes, a petting zoo, food, fun and prizes. It was created by recently graduated riding student, Charlotte Kellogg.
The event raised upwards of $12,000 this year, which will be divided amongst the participating Therapeutic Riding Centers in Maryland.
