On Saturday, the Goucher College Varsity Riding team competed at the Zone IV finals at St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, NC. It was a great day for the Gophers!
Every Goucher rider that competed at Zones, received third place or HIGHER -- and the Goucher team grabbed the Zone Reserve Champion team award, securing a spot for them at IHSA Nationals in Harrisburg, PA. Joey Fink & Addie Jabin also qualified for Nationals as individuals.
Highlights included:
Karli Postel - 1st Open team flat, 1st Open team fences
Addie Jabin - 1st Intermediate Individual flat, 2nd Intermediate Individual fences - INDIVIDUAL NATIONAL QUALIFIER!
Joey Fink - 2nd place Intermediate team flat, 1st Intermediate Fences, 2nd place Novice individual flat, 3rd place Individual Novice fences - INDIVIDUAL NATIONAL QUALIFIER!
Anna Carmichael - 3rd place Novice team flat, 3rd place Novice team fences
Laura Malone - 3rd place Novice individual flat
Kaduk Sherpa - 3rd place Advanced walk trot canter team flat
Kaili Janette - 3rd place Walk Trot team flat
Goucher will head to Harrisburg, PA for IHSA Nationals May 2-5, 2013. Come out an support us!!
