The Goucher Varsity Equestrian team came out of last weekend's double header in Virginia with a 9 point lead over Christopher Newport University, and a whopping 18-point lead over rival Mary Washington.
Goucher competing in back-to-back Intercollegiate shows at Christopher Newport and College of William and Mary this weekend respectively. Senior Karli Postel and Freshman Anna Carmichael tied for high point rider with two blues in Open and Novice respectively.
The gophers finished the weekend with 157 points overall.

Laura Adriaanse - 1st place Advanced Walk Trot Canter
Erika Scott - 1st place Advanced Walk Trot Canter
Highlights from Sunday at College of William & Mary included:
Karli Postel - 1st place Open fences, 1st place Open flat
Hayley Cohen - 2nd place Intermediate flat
Joey Fink - 1st place Novice flat
Anna Carmichael - 1st place Novice flat, 1st place Novice fences
Maring Eberlein - 2nd place Beginning Walk Trot Canter
The team will compete next weekend at Towson University on November 10. Results to come!
